Timna Medovoy develops and leads CIEL’s continuing education and specialized experiential learning programs, including programs for mental health professionals and peacebuilders.

Timna’s work sits at the intersection of peace and conflict education, experiential learning, and civil society peacebuilding. For nearly 15 years, she has created opportunities for participants to engage deeply with the realities of political violence and social division - their histories, competing narratives, human consequences, and possibilities for change. Her work has focused particularly on Israel and Palestine and Northern Ireland, where she has designed and led experiential programs that bring participants into direct engagement with the people, communities, and organizations navigating conflict, division, trauma, and their legacies.

Following the Arab Spring, Timna spent a year in Cairo before moving to Jerusalem over a decade ago. Since then, she has worked extensively with local Israeli and Palestinian peacebuilding organizations. Her experience spans program design and management, facilitation, fundraising, strategic communications, and organizational development.

Timna holds an MA in Conflict Research, Management and Resolution from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where her studies focused on collective and transgenerational trauma, and has pursued additional studies in psychology with a focus on coercive control.
